Around 50 organizations took part in the movement against the 2000 MW project which compelled the NHPC Ltd, the construction authority, to halt all works from Dec 14, 2011 onwards. But few days ago, the project authority announced in a local television channel that the construction has been restarted 3 months ago and the work is continuing in full swing. Despite that announcement no organization come out to speak on the issues related to downstream impacts of the project. Those organizations almost vanished somewhere.
